Gregory was a co-founder of influencer marketing company Whosay, which was acquired by Viacom in January 2018.
At Jellysmack, he will report to co-founder and CEO Michael Philippe and lead the company’s go-to-market strategy, creating multifaceted initiatives to generate brand revenue, broad awareness and partnerships.
While at Whosay, Gregory led the teams behind multimillion-dollar influencer campaigns including Chevrolet’s Best Day Ever with Alec Baldwin and Olivia Wilde; Canon‘s #BringIt series with Eva Longoria and Kevin Bacon; and Procter & Gamble’s Pampers launch with Chrissy Teigen, in addition to reaching partnership deals with brands including AT&T, Bank of America, Coca-Cola, Comcast, H&M, Macy’s, McDonald’s and several media holding companies.
Philippe said in a release, “I’m thrilled to have Rob be a part of the Jellysmack community. He comes to us with extensive experience as an accomplished media executive who has launched and grown some of the best-known businesses in the space. We look forward to his strategic vision that will continue to raise awareness of Jellysmack’s content and commitment to building passionate and engaging communities.”
Gregory added, “Social video has become the lingua franca of young consumers. What attracted me most to Jellysmack is its unique formula. It creates original video content aligned with consumer passion points, using artificial-intelligence-driven technology to take the guesswork out of what will perform the best on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok.”
