WWE said in an email that the 40 billion milestone is equal to over five views for every person on Earth, adding that its channel’s 55 million-plus subscribers put it ahead of sports channels on the Google-owned video site including those of ESPN, Major League Baseball, Nascar, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League and the National Hockey League.
The channel features highlights from WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, pay-per-view events, WWE Nxt, WWE Nxt UK and 205 Live with exclusive interviews, news, live event coverage, watch-alongs and new Wednesday-morning show The Bump.
WWE executive vice president of advanced media Jayar Donlan said in an email, “With over 40 billion video views and 55 million subscribers, WWE’s YouTube channel continues to set the standard for premium, must see content on the platform—not just in the sports category, but across all genres.
